Clothing is optional at Villa Mistral as it is a private residence. What taboos or general customs should I be aware of before my visit?Virgin Islanders are quite conservative, so it is seen as an insult when visitors walk around in swimwear or without shirts if not on the beach or poolside. Visitors clad in only a bikini top and shorts, or bareback with shorts are likely to receive a surly response from customer service in stores. Is there anything else I should know while driving on St. John?The same vehicle and road rules apply as they are in the States; St. John police are especially known to be sticklers of seatbelt offenders. What Cell Phones work in St. John?All cell phones work on the island but Sprint and AT&T cell phones work best on St. John. Both have a plan with no roaming including the U.S. Virgin Islands.
